Overview

Kenyon Sadiq might be one the only real blue chip athlete at tight end in 2026. His sophomore year was slim on production. Sadiq only tallied 308 yards and two touchdowns. But 2024 also gave him a chance to flash his track-and-field type traits. It left scouts wanting to see more of the 2025 Mackey Award watch list player.

But Sadiq also showed natural receiving ability and some polished skills as a movement tight end or TE/WR hybrid prospect in 2024. It only takes a few minutes to watch his tape, but he seems to have a good sense of space in the field even if it isn’t tested like most volume TEs who spend a lot time running possession type routes. He also plots a good tack on 4-verts type patterns, knows where his leverage should be, and his film shows him using tempo to augment his natural speed. When he has blocking assignments he can handle, he plays with solid leverage IQ and active hands. Still, his tape is limited, and NFL tight ends typically handle a complicated route tree that is significantly larger than what Sadiq has shown thus far. A lot of his touches are manufactured as part of the Oregon offense. He is, to be fair, an elite level weapon in that regard.

Athletics

It is difficult for a player like Kenyon Sadiq to shed the “weapon” label in part, though, because he is an atlas-tier athlete for the position. His vertical and horizontal explosive capacity is, at times, breathtaking. He hurdles defenders in stride. He makes acrobatic extensions for the ball. He is undersized for NFL Y tight end duty, and should probably weigh in around 245 and reach 6’2” to 6’3” in height. But Sadiq is lean, dense, and powerful enough to play the box. His top-gear is harder to judge, but it is also rare. I would not be shocked to see him clock between 4.45 and 4.65, even if his final timed speed really depends on if he has sustainable velocity. We know he has enormous burst velocity.

• Gifted after the catch: runs over, past, and sometimes leaps over tacklers
• Good high point and leverage dominator instincts
• Excellent blocking platform for his size — good hand usage/grip

Weaknesses

• Blocking ids might need to improve, re pass protection
• Limited production only hints at high ceiling
• Not much nuance in routes– critical if he will be a F type TE
• Much of his 2024 production came on designed plays
• Short reel of spacing and leverage type consistency

Draft Projection

Kenyon Sadiq’s ultimate draft value rests on how he fills in the gaps in his resume throughout 2025. It is hard to ride in the first as a generic “weapon,” especially at the tight end position. He needs to be more productive. (Right now he’s doubling or quadrupling his 2024 production through four weeks). He needs to demonstrate a wider route tree. And he needs to play more in-line tight end than we’ve seen. If he checks all these boxes he could sneak into the top-10, because he has the athletic attributes to fit in there. If his year is mixed he is still in the top-45 based on his upside.
