Rueben Bain Scouting Report

Rueben Bain was the top summer prospect, and did nothing to disappoint in 2025. As he stands now, he’s the truest blue chip prospect in the draft, and should be gone within five picks of the 2025 drafts opening bell.

Tape Scouting Report

He has boxers hands, violent, active, and under the OL’s pads. Relentless, choppy feet and 24/7 drive compliment his suite of pass rush moves. He is a power rusher through and through but loses no speed transitioning. Bain’s go to is bull rush, but segues to rips and occasional spins. Most importantly, he has a hit hunter’s instinct, and locates action extremely well in congested fronts. He’ll have no problem playing across the line in the NFL if he can improve his attention to detail on gap responsibility and follow through on tackles.

Athletic Scouting Report

Though some questioned his length and fit coming into the season, that crowd has grown quieter. Bain has a torquey, dense frame that bends well and carries immense explosion. He has a really wild level of explosion in the phonebooth, and throughout his time at Miami is exceedingly difficult to contain on the edge or inside. He plays with balance while bringing the non-stop centrifugal motor of the tazmanian devil. So outside of his arms, there isn’t much that says he won’t terrorize the NFL the way he did the NCAA.

Draft Stock Report

Opinions on Bain call into two camps. For spec checkers, he’s low. Because 1″ is enough. The tape is a lot longer than 1″ and Bain has some of the best disruption film you’ll see from a 3tech to 9tech type. In short, we love tape here at Cutcall, and he is a Blue Chip player for us, and should be gone before 10 picks are made in the 2026 NFL Draft.
