The biggest change was tapping a vertical dimension he’d not used before and playing outside the slot more frequently, and that alone will get him everywhere with NFL GMS. What we already knew is that KCC is an excellent route runner for the most part, especially when tasked with double break type routes and anything that requires movement or lift. His dig and crossing type routes are a mixed bag. He has a tendency to let the ball get on him, which affects some of the timing we see on digs. But he is also an excellent chase receiver on true crossing patterns. He plays deep routes well, and is a difficult match in space showing good influence instincts through the stem and tracking at the top. He knows how to catch a ball in stride. The only thing weighing against this are recurring ball skill issues. His career 9% drop rate is part of the story, but he finished with consecutive seasons over 10%.KC has a very good release package for a WR his size, often preferring quick shake style releases. But they are mostly effective on inside breaks, which is expected for a receiver of his stature. On outside releases, he sometimes cannot break clean to stack his corner, especially when physically confronted. His strength throughout his NCAA career was behind the line of scrimmage to 10 yards, and this should carry over, but I would put him into a slot vertical category.
