Jordyn Tyson Scouting Report

Jordyn Tyson is the Hattori Hanzo of WR in the 2026 NFL Draft. The sharpest blade in the bunch. But with a fragile edge.

Tape Scouting Report

Both smooth and sharp in an out of this breaks, he is a natural route runner. He is a true three level threat with technique to create separation from the stem to the top of the route. He has strong three season working in zone, stronger in man, but he is talented at either and his uses his body to influence defenders almost as a matter of instinct. He’s played every split for Arizona State, so a less complete aspect of this record would be his release package.

Athletic Scouting Report

Tyson might not tear the cover off of Lucas Oil Stadium, but he should put up high percentile athletic numbers when he is there. He can glide and he can explode to speed, and shows the toughness, agility, and contact balance to threaten after the catch, as well as the natural vision to see avenues to do so. Perhaps his most underrated trait is contested catches and radius catches. He has some rare ‘bad ball’ tape.

Draft Stock Report

He played mostly at Y-Z but projects, like Justin Jefferson perhaps, to finally end up as the kind of chess piece a coordinator can move around to force opposing defenses to adjust. Only a dodgy history of injuries† could hold his stock back, or hold him out of the top ten. His tape is probably the most promising and complete in the draft. He’s a Blue Chip talent. One with a caveat emptor inscription.
Total CL tears in 2022; a late collarbone injury ending 2024; recurring hamstring injury in 2025 he had to sit several games for.
