Chase Roberts Scouting Report

Roberts was a bell-cow for Brigham-Young and finished with no less that a 1.9 YPRR over his tenure. As a baseline he projects as a reliable, physically strong possession receiver known for contested catches, good route running, contact balance, and football IQ. He is probably priced best as a solid mid-round NFL prospect with locker-room presence and an understanding of football. But stopping there due to his age at draft and concerns about whether he is at the peak of his development curve. All in Roberts is a polished receiver with the size and skills to contribute early in the NFL, offering dependable hands and leadership, though perhaps lacking WR1 upside to some, even if he’s proven to be one in the NCAA.
