Caleb Lomu Scouting Report

Caleb Lomu posted a flawless 2025 and enters the draft as the OT with the most upside. At just 20 years of age he has the most room to grow. That is a a double edged sword, because even though his pass protection sets feature natural bend, excellent balance, and advanced hand usage, his anchor is not what it could be. And he has a lot of tape where he stalemates, especially in gap type runs. Scouts probably want to see his punch, which is well timed, get heavier too, because he doesn’t sustain run game blocks as well either. Still, Lomu is possibly the best deal in the draft. His frame is excellent. He displays the kind of refined athletic soft skills (balance, coordination, pliability) an OC wants in a tackle. And he already has the lower half efficiency of a much older player. Lomu is a Cutcall Red Chip OT. Great on either side of the line, and gone between 20 and no later than 32.
